The camera could hold the secret of ‘did they or didn’t they summit’. What if it was found, what are your thoughts on the film still being intact and images viewable?

Nowadays, every year climbers queue to be led up to the summit, yet I am not aware of a single field experiment in which a Koad Vest Pocket was used to expose a summit shot and then deposited for lets say a year and
retrieved to examine the effects of hight altitude and exposure to cold weather etc.
Simple assumption : If a camera cannot hold a picture for a year, it is unlikely that it could hold a picture for over almost 90 years. Yet if it does, the aging could be examined.

Or am I just not aware of such a field experiment ?
