What is the highest point on a mountain you have been too?
As I am only an ‘armchair’ mountaineer the highest I have been is to the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland at 1,344 m (4,409 ft).

All my life I've had exercise-induced asthma, so my "climbing" exploits have been nearly non-existent. As a child I was excused from any type of sport or play that required exertion. So for me, at the age of 55, to make it to Everest Base Camp (Nepal) and the summits of Kala Pattar and Gokyo Ri, was quite a coup! It was the trip of a lifetime, and a dream come true. I've read varying statistics for the height of Kala Pattar, but that high point was approximately 5545m or 18,200ft. Three years later I went back again (because I found the Khumbu so utterly enchanting), and made it to EBC, but skipped Kala Pattar because the sky was full of smoke from forest fires, and there was no view of Everest. I'd love to return at least as far as Namche and Thame, because I love the region so much.
