Hi all, looking forward to reading stories here. I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Like Colin, I'm more of an armchair mountaineer, but have been an Everest junkie for 50 years, since I read about the first American Everest Expedition in National Geographic (1963). Trekked to Everest Base Camp (Nepal side) in 2006 and 2009. Loved it!
